Grants and Compliance Manager—Ricardo Camacho, BS, MBA

Mr. Camacho earned his BS degree in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico and his MBA in Human Resources from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. For eight years he worked for the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez where he acquired experience in grant writing, fundraising, grant management and compliance. There he managed grants and awards from the National Science Foundation, NASA, NOAA, PR College of Chemistry, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Puerto Rico Department of Education and Pfizer Foundation.

Mr. Camacho began working with the National Clearinghouse for Science Technology and Law (NCSTL) at Stetson University College of Law in 2007 where he served as Grant Compliance Manager. In 2012 while at Stetson College of Law Mr. Camacho also served as Human Resources Coordinator while providing grant compliance services for NCSTL.

In 2012 Mr. Camacho was hired as the Assistant Director of the Forensic Medicine division at the University of Florida. In this position he oversees the Office of the Medical Examiner, the W.R. Maples Center, UF Pathlabs Forensic Toxicology Laboratory, UF Pathlabs Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology Laboratory, UF Racing Laboratory, Florida Emergency Mortuary Operations Response System and the ASPCA Veterinary Forensic Sciences Program.
